Trump is right again

Love him or hate him, but Donald Trump is not afraid to tell the plain truth in controversial matters where none of his more timid rivals dare to tread. He did it on immigration. He did it on trade and foreign policy. And now he’s done it again when he says that America and the world would be much better off today – “100 percent” -- if Saddam Hussein still ruled Iraq, and Muammar Gaddafi still ruled Libya.

Trump is right again.

Starting the war with Iraq and toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein was the biggest mistake president George W. Bush ever made, and Trump is not afraid to tell it like it is. It was like pulling out the lynch pin which caused the entire house of cards in the Middle East to collapse. It’s the primary reason why we have total chaos in the region today. Hussein posed no threat to the U.S. In fact, Iraq and Iran were keeping each other in check then. Now Iran is taking over Iraq and Islamic extremists are running wild.

Engineering the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, the bright idea of Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration, was a horrible blunder. It’s the reason for a bloody civil war and why that nation is now a lawless no-man’s-land overrun with Islamic terrorist extremists. It’s the reason why our Ambassador to Libya was murdered.  

The Middle East “blew up” around President Barack Obama and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, says Trump. "People are getting their heads chopped off. They're being drowned. Right now it's far worse than ever under Saddam Hussein or Gaddafi… I mean, look what happened. Libya is a catastrophe. Libya is a disaster. Iraq is a disaster. Syria is a disaster. The whole Middle East; It all blew up around Hillary Clinton and around Obama. It blew up."

Iraq is now the “Harvard of terrorism,” Trump correctly explains. The place has turned into a “training ground for terrorists.” "If you look at Iraq from years ago, I'm not saying he (Saddam) was a nice guy. He was a horrible guy but it's better than it is now." 

No other GOP candidate has the guts to say it.

Trump is right again. 

The Smoking Gun

Democrats are crowing like banty roosters today in the aftermath of Hillary Clinton’s testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.  Her performance was flawless, they insist.

Meanwhile, mainstream media headlines assert that Ms Clinton emerged from the hearing victorious and totally unscathed by the proceedings. Some Republicans are even opining that her presidential image was substantially enhanced because of her composure and the way she handled herself during the 11-hour ordeal.

Were they all wearing blinders and ear plugs?

I watched the same event, read the complete transcript.

I  saw the smoking gun.

I saw Hillary Clinton exposed for all to see by her own correspondence; her own testimony and actions, as a serial bald faced liar;  a corrupt and woefully incompetent public servant, beyond any shadow of a doubt.

Of course, we knew all along that this woman had lied repeatedly about her knowledge of the nature and reasons for the September 11, 2012 attack upon the diplomatic compound in Benghazi Libya which resulted in the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.  

But up until now there was no smoking gun.

Clinton calculatedly and deliberately lied when she told Americans and the families of the murdered victims that the attack was initiated as an unplanned spontaneous unforeseeable protest sparked by a YouTube anti-Islamic video – not a preplanned attack by terrorists. She then conspired with the President of the United States and others in his administration to perpetuate the lie for the purpose of covering up their own incompetence and responsibility for what had happened. After all, the presidential election of 2012 was near at hand.

Now we learn for the first time from Clinton’s own official correspondence in the immediate aftermath of the event the concrete proof of that lie – the smoking gun. That correspondence reveals that she communicated to others three times immediately following the event that she knew it was a planned Al-Qaida attack – not a spontaneous protest – she knew it was a planned attack for which she, her State Department and the Obama administration were caught off guard and wholly unprepared.

Now we learn, as a matter of unassailable fact, the concrete proof that the murdered ambassador had been begging and pleading with Hillary Clinton repeatedly to provide a necessary modicum of protection for himself and his staff long before they were murdered. His only recently disclosed correspondence – another smoking gun – reveals some 600 written pleas for more security at the compound.

The compound had already been viciously attacked previously. Everyone knew that terrorists had overrun Benghazi. Several other diplomatic contingents had already fled the dangerous hotbed.

Ms. Clinton testified that she was unaware of that correspondence; all 600 urgent messages of it; she didn’t see any of it; didn’t know about it; wasn’t concerned with it; it wasn’t her responsibility; it wasn’t her job; it wasn’t her fault; she left that sort of mundane trivia up to her staff of “professional security” people. No additional security was provided. And four people were murdered.

Now, Ms Clinton is either lying thru her teeth once again or this is more concrete proof that she was grossly incompetent; asleep at the switch; and completely detached from her subordinates and the serious duties and responsibilities of her office as Secretary of State.

Why was Ms Clinton unaware of Chris Stevens’ pleas, one might reasonably ask?

Well, we found out why at this hearing. There was yet another smoking gun. Ms. Clinton candidly admitted that Ambassador Stevens was not privileged to have at his disposal her private e-mail address. You know that private server she used to conduct all her official business. Stevens didn’t have it. He didn’t have her phone number either. He had no way to contact Hillary Clinton directly. That’s because Hillary Clinton never gave him her email address and phone number. And she never contacted him once during his entire tenure in Libya though he tried in vain to contact her at least 600 times. There is no record of it. That is a smoking gun.

The Democrats want the American people to elect a proven serial liar and incompetent as President of the United States in 2016. The mainstream media appear to be just fine with it. Even many Republicans believe that Hillary Clinton is presidential material.

They don’t seem to care about the smoking gun.

Liberty Landfill

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. 

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, 

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

So says the infamous bronze plaque mounted inside the pedestal of the Statute of Liberty, that great American icon situated prominently on a small island in the middle of New York harbor. The United States of America in the early 1900’s was still largely a nation of like immigrants ever since colonial times.

They came mostly from Europe. Many sought political and religious freedom. Others came for better economic opportunities, and some were fleeing extreme poverty and famine in their home countries. Most of them were indeed the wretched refuse of their teeming shores, tired, poor huddled masses of humanity yearning to breathe free.

It wasn’t easy for these determined people to become Americans and eventually live the American dream. There were plenty of hardships. They endured vicious discrimination from the earlier inhabitants. They often lived  in abject squalor housed in slums and tiny tenements. They were offered only the lowest of employment opportunities with the lowest wages.

There was no government welfare then. New immigrants were either on their own or had to depend on each other in those days. But through it all the vast majority of them pulled themselves out of poverty by means of sheer dogged perseverance, determination and hard work.

That was then, and this is now. America the land of liberty is becoming America the liberty landfill. Yes, the poor tired huddled masses; the wretched and homeless refuse of other nations are still coming in droves, just like always, but now they aren’t so much yearning to breathe free, as satisfied to become dependent upon the American government and the seemingly endless largess of taxpaying American citizens.

That’s right. About half of all new immigrants and immigrant households in America today are receiving welfare in one form or another.  Of those immigrants from our neighbors to the south, 73% from Mexico and Central America are on welfare.

These immigrants rely upon welfare at far higher rates than the American born population. And instead of relying upon each other for help, as they were inclined to do in former times, these new immigrants, many of whom are woefully uneducated, are actually helping each other take advantage of our welfare systems.

Donald Trump was right when he said that Mexico was not exactly sending its best people across our southern border. Most of them are here to collect welfare. Consequently, America is fast becoming a dumping ground – a liberty landfill.

Respecting the looter

Looters are people too. They deserve our respect for what they do. Whether done for fun and profit or for protest against imagined injustice, looting is a time tested benevolent American activity which should be honored and revered.

That’s what’s being taught to college students at the prestigious Ivy League Yale University these days. The University’s divinity school hired “Black-Lives-Matter” leader, DeRay Mckesson, to lecture classes on the historical merits of looting as an admirable form of protest.

“The mystifying ideological claim that looting is violent and non-political is one that has been carefully produced by the ruling class because it is precisely the violent maintenance of property which is both the basis and end of their power,” is the message appearing in “The New Inquiry” magazine entitled entitled “In Defense of Looting.”

“On a less abstract level there is a practical and tactical benefit to looting. Whenever people worry about looting, there is an implicit sense that the looter must necessarily be acting selfishly, ‘opportunistically,’ and in excess.”

“The relationship and tension between protest and property destruction is something that America has grappled with since the Revolutionary War & the Boston Tea Party,” Mckesson explains.

The Revolutionary War?; the Boston Tea Party? Am I missing something here? This guy is actually comparing the recent savage looting and property destruction rampages in Ferguson Missouri, Baltimore Maryland and elsewhere to the Revolutionary War and the Boston Tea Party?

Now I’ve heard everything. The Boston Tea Party was not about looting. The tea was thrown overboard. It wasn’t stolen. The Revolutionary war was not about looting and property destruction. It was about establishing American independence from the tyrannical authority of the King of England.

The reality of the matter is that this delusional fool is getting paid for conning gullible naïve college students into believing that all Blacks are the victims of white privilege which justifies theft and destruction of property. He tries to justify Michael Brown brazenly committing a strong armed robbery in a convenience store, charging a police officer trying to arrest him, followed by the looting a property destruction after he was shot by the cop in self defense.

Those looters weren’t breaking into stores and stealing property as a means of protest. Their sole motive was the criminal opportunity to acquire free stuff. They were and are criminals. What kind of respect is a criminal looter and wanton property destroyer entitled to? In my opinion they richly deserved to be shot and killed on the spot. Any reasonable store owner should have the right to defend his life and property with a high powered rifle, picking the looting criminals off one by one as they entered his premises unlawfully with intent to pillage and destroy.

That’s what respecting the looter should be about.

Public School Halloween Horrors

The good people of Milford Connecticut are all up in arms over a decision by their local public school district this year to cancel the annual Halloween costume festivities and parade in the schools. The district doesn’t want to “alienate” a minority of students who might be offended by the celebrations.

“Milford Public Schools do have many children from diverse beliefs, cultures and religions,” explained Jim Richetelli, chief operations officer for the district. “The goal is for all children to feel comfortable and definitely not alienated when they come to school.”

The angry majority of townspeople have circulated a petition to “Bring back our AMERICAN traditions to our schools!” “Our children should not miss out on our traditional activities due to people crying they’re offended, reads the petition. “Tell me how children smiling dressing up as a cartoon character, a doctor, a super hero is offensive?”

“I don’t think we’re excluding anybody. I think they’re excluding themselves,” whined one disgruntled mother of a third grader. She, like most others in the majority think that they should be permitted without any question to use the public schools as places in which to celebrate whatever so-called “American traditions” they like, and if some minority of parents and students don’t like it they can simply exclude themselves.

Lost in all of this silly controversy is the question of why do some people think that public schools have any obligation much less the right to decide what cultural “American traditions” should be celebrated in the classrooms and exactly how they ought to be celebrated.

Public schools are not places where the government has the right to compel children to attend five days per week so that it can teach them personal cultural values. The kids are in school to learn how to read, write and reckon – not wasting their time being indoctrinated as to what to think about and how to celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Good Friday, and Valentine’s Day.

Surely, the parents of children who want to celebrate Halloween can wait until after school to dress their smiling little urchins up as cartoon characters, witches, goblins and superhero’s before sending them out into the night to trick or treat for candy. Surely they can organize their own Halloween parties and amusement activities privately.

Surely, no child has to miss out on such traditional American activities if they want to participate. Why then is it necessary for the public schools to get involved?  Why not let the people simply decide privately what “American traditions” to celebrate.

There is obviously no good reason for Public school Halloween Horrors.

Dr Strange Ben

Republican presidential primary candidate Dr. Ben Carson is a fine man, a brilliant physician and pediatric neurosurgeon. He’s the kind of man you would probably like to have as your next door neighbor. He’s humble, quiet and unassuming. I like him.

Carson, a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, is also a man of God, a fervent believer in Christianity and the Holy Bible. Of course there is nothing wrong with that. It's his fundamental constitutional First Amendment right. As long as he and other religionist believers rely upon their faith to direct and control their own lives for the benefit of their personal goals, e.g., salvation, while refraining from imposing it upon others, I have no problems with it.

But when this nice, likable, quiet, humble and unassuming Dr. seeks the Presidency of the United States of America, as he now does, I have a big problem with it, and so should my fellow Americans. Carson’s convictions are incompatible with that office because he admittedly does not rely primarily upon reason. He would make decisions affecting all Americans strictly upon faith.

I find that fact particularly strange in an otherwise obviously brilliant individual, especially a scientist, physician and brain surgeon. In my mind he becomes Dr. Strange Ben.

Dr. Strange Ben is a religious creationist; he rejects out-of-hand the scientific reality of biological evolution. He actually believes that Charles Darwin, the father of modern day biology, was encouraged by Satan, the Devil, when he published his discovery on evolution of the species by natural selection. “Evolution and creationism both require faith. It's just a matter of where you choose to place that faith,” explains Dr. Strange Ben.

Dr. Strange Ben, who wants to be President and swear to uphold the United States Constitution, in fact, wishes that all Americans would recognize God as our leader: “My birthday wish is that our nation would once again recognize God as our leader.” “I serve God, and my purpose is to please Him, and if God be for you, who can be against you?” “If God thinks proportionality is fair who are we to say that it is unfair?”  

“I have no problem whatsoever with allowing gay people to live as they please, as long as they don't try to impose their lifestyle on everyone else,”  It’s perfectly fine to try to impose his religion and lifestyle on everyone else, but gay people want to marry, he has a problem with it.

“The most important thing for me is having a relationship with God. To know that the owner, the creator of the universe loves you, sent His Son to die for your sins; that's very empowering. Knowing Him and knowing that He loves me gives me encouragement and confidence to move forward.”

“What I agree with is that we need a significantly changed taxation system. And the one that I've advocated is based on tithing, because I think God is a pretty fair guy. And he said, you know, if you give me a tithe, it doesn't matter how much you make.”

This is what we have to look forward to if this nice, humble, quiet and unassuming man is elected president: Dr. Strange Ben. 

The Pope & Kim Davis: Another Religious Fiction

Kim Davis, the religious extremist Kentucky County clerk who tried to martyr herself by going to jail for five days after contemptuously refusing to obey a federal judge who had ordered her office to issue marriage licenses to gays, now claims that she had a private audience with Pope Frances at his request while he was visiting the U.S. last week.

She and her lawyer, Mat Staver, insist that she and her husband were invited by, and met with the Holy Father at the Vatican embassy in Washington whereupon he urged her in regard to the ordeal between her conscience and the law to “stay strong.”

“I’m just a nobody… It was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me… Just knowing that the pope is on track with what we're doing and agreeing, you know, it kind of validates everything," Davis gushed. Attorney Staver claims that the Vatican initiated the meeting as an affirmation of her right to be a conscientious objector.

Sounds pretty impressive right? The Pontiff is interested in poor little nobody, Kim Davis, and her religious liberty cause against homosexuals. That’s why he invited her to Washington for a private audience so that he could encourage her not to give up; to stay strong as it were.

There’s one big problem though:  It didn’t happen. It’s a fraud; just another religious fiction in the mind of Kim Davis and her attorney. By his own admission, Staver was not even present at the encounter. This is the same attorney who was forced to admit last week that a photo he presented at the Values Voters Summit, which he claimed showed a 100,000-person prayer rally to support Davis in Peru, was taken in 2014 and did not, in fact, have anything to do with Davis.

After Vatican officials and Pope Frances learned of Davis and her attorney’s bogus claims, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi released an extraordinary statement, personally approved by Pope Francis himself, debunking nearly everything she said.

The Pope isn’t interested in her case; he didn’t invite her to Washington; there was no private audience with him; and he expressed no encouragement to her whatever. As it turns out, Davis was merely one of “several dozen persons who had been invited by the Nunciature to greet [Pope Francis] as he prepared to leave Washington for New York City,” said Lombardi. In short, Davis was allowed to greet and shake the Pope’s hand; no more. 

Lombardi adds that, on that occasion, “the only real audience” — private meeting— “granted by the Pope at the Nunciature was with one of his former students and his family.” That student, Yayo Grassi just happens to be an openly gay man who brought along his partner of 19 years. “Three weeks before the trip, [Pope Francis] called me on the phone and said he would love to give me a hug,” says Grassi.

“The Pope did not enter into the details of the situation of Mrs. Davis and his meeting with her should not be considered a form of support of her position in all of its particular and complex aspects… Such brief greetings occur on all papal visits and are due to the Pope’s characteristic kindness.”

So much for Kim Davis & the Pope: Another religious fiction. 

Carly, if President, would snoop, torture and otherwise aggress

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina wants to portray herself as the most aggressively militant war-monger hawk among the fifteen remaining GOP candidates for president; and the United States Constitution may be dammed in the process. Surely, if she moved just one more inch to the right she’d fall off the debate stage.

Fiorina is a stern advocate, not only of viciously aggressive counterterrorism programs, but intensive government spying activities on all Americans, together with an antagonistic attitude toward diplomacy in relations with other nations.

She vigorously defends the George W. Bush era CIA torture tactics, which she insists were good and proper government measures that “keep our nation safe” in the aftermath of 9/11. “I believe that all of the evidence is very clear — that water boarding was used in a very small handful of cases [and] was supervised by medical personnel in every one of those cases,” she claims. “And I also believe that water boarding was used when there was no other way to get information that was necessary.”

The lady disagrees with the Senate report last year that portrayed water boarding as “near drowning” tantamount to torture, and concluded that the agency’s often brutal interrogations produced little actionable intelligence. She calls that report “disingenuous” and “a shame” that “undermined the morale of a whole lot of people who dedicated their lives to keeping the country safe.”

The fact that CIA water boarding, as bad and unconstitutional as it is, was only the tip of the government torture tactic operation is completely ignored by Fiorina. All the top interrogation experts say that torture doesn’t produce actionable intelligence. Torture doesn’t reduce terrorism. On the contrary, it just creates new terrorists, including ISIS. CIA goons tortured completely innocent people. The Nazis used the same “enhanced interrogation” techniques as the CIA, and even called it the same thing. CIA goons tortured Filipinos and Vietnamese prisoners to death and have taught the leaders of other countries how to torture.  

Carly has maintained a close cooperative relationship with the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies ever since her tenure as CEO of Hewlett-Packard. She supplied HP servers to the CIA for use in warrantless spying on her fellow Americans.

During last month’s CNN debate, Fiorina scoffed at Donald Trump after he said he would meet and talk with Russian president Vladimir Putin, i.e., exercise diplomacy, to resolve the Syria crisis. “Having met Vladimir Putin, I wouldn’t talk to him at all,” she huffed. Instead, she would “begin rebuilding the Sixth Fleet” and “conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic states,” among other steps, so he would “get the message.”

Apparently, this woman longs for the good old days of the cold war with the Soviet Union when the whole world was just a heartbeat away from total nuclear annihilation. And today she unabashedly admits that if elected president, she would, like a dedicated politically paranoid war-monger, not hesitate to snoop, torture and otherwise aggress against the whole world, including her fellow Americans.
