Love him or hate him, but
Donald Trump is not afraid to tell the plain truth in controversial matters
where none of his more timid rivals dare to tread. He did it on immigration. He
did it on trade and foreign policy. And now he’s done it again when he says
that America and the world would be much better off today – “100 percent”
-- if Saddam Hussein still ruled Iraq, and Muammar Gaddafi still ruled Libya.
Trump is right again.
Starting the war with
Iraq and toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein was the biggest mistake
president George W. Bush ever made, and Trump is not afraid to tell it like it
is. It was like pulling out the lynch pin which caused the entire house of
cards in the Middle East to collapse. It’s the primary reason why we have total
chaos in the region today. Hussein posed
no threat to the U.S. In fact, Iraq and Iran were keeping each other in check
then. Now Iran is taking over Iraq and Islamic extremists are running wild.
Engineering the fall of
Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, the bright idea of Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration,
was a horrible blunder. It’s the reason for a bloody civil war and why that
nation is now a lawless no-man’s-land overrun with Islamic terrorist extremists.
It’s the reason why our Ambassador to Libya was murdered.
The Middle East “blew
up” around President Barack Obama and former secretary of state Hillary
Clinton, says Trump. "People are getting their heads chopped off.
They're being drowned. Right now it's far worse than ever under Saddam Hussein
or Gaddafi… I mean, look what happened. Libya is a catastrophe. Libya is a
disaster. Iraq is a disaster. Syria is a disaster. The whole Middle East; It
all blew up around Hillary Clinton and around Obama. It blew up."
Iraq is now the “Harvard
of terrorism,” Trump correctly explains. The place has turned into a “training
ground for terrorists.” "If
you look at Iraq from years ago, I'm not saying he (Saddam)
was a nice guy. He was a horrible guy but it's better than it is now."
No other GOP candidate
has the guts to say it.
Trump is right again.
Trump was right. Bush created a disaster in the Middle East that will be causing "trouble" for decades to come.
